How much more the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition costs than Standard, in every currency on the stores

Upgrading from the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI to the Ultimate Edition adds $20.00 in the United States, £20.00 in the United Kingdom, €20.00 in the euro zone and R$ 100,00 in Brazil — and the gap is not a fixed share of the price from one market to the next.

Last updated

The store pages answer two different questions: what each edition costs, and what the more expensive one contains. This page answers the question between them — the size of the step from one to the other, in the currency you actually pay in.

The step, market by market

In the United States the PlayStation Store lists the standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99, so the upgrade costs $20.00.

In the United Kingdom the same two listings are £69.99 and £89.99: the same £20.00 step, taken from a lower starting price.

In the euro zone the standard edition is listed at €79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at €99.99, a €20.00 difference.

In Brazil the step is R$ 100,00: R$ 449,90 for the standard edition against R$ 549,90 for the Ultimate Edition.

Canada carries the largest step of the PlayStation listings in local units, CAD 30.00, from CAD 109.99 to CAD 139.99.

On the Xbox Store in Mexico the standard edition is MXN 1499 and the Ultimate Edition MXN 1879, a difference of MXN 380.

In Poland the Xbox Store lists PLN 349 and PLN 429, a step of PLN 80.

In Sweden the same two listings are SEK 899 and SEK 1149, a step of SEK 250.

In Switzerland the standard edition is CHF 79.90 and the Ultimate Edition CHF 99.90, a difference of CHF 20.00.

Each row compares two listings from the same store in the same region, which is the only comparison the store pages support. Nothing here is a currency conversion of anything else, so the rows cannot be ranked against each other — a step that looks small in one currency is not a cheaper upgrade, only a different currency.

Why the step is worth reading per market

The starting price already differs between markets — $79.99 in the United States against £69.99 in the United Kingdom — so the same twenty units of local currency do not represent the same share of the purchase.

Sweden shows the widest end of that spread: SEK 250 on top of SEK 899, while Poland adds PLN 80 on top of PLN 349.

Where the store lists both editions, the step is the number to compare against what the bigger box adds. What it adds is listed on the Ultimate Edition page; this page keeps the arithmetic.

These are pre-order prices

Every listing behind this page is marked as a pre-order, in the United States, Brazil, Mexico and Poland alike.

Store pages move. What this page tracks is the distance between two listings as each store shows them, not a forecast of what either will charge later.
